Ostello Torino was officially opened in 2012, born from a vision to provide modern, accessible, and community-driven hospitality in a city transforming after the 2006 Winter Olympics.

🏗️ A Hostel Built on Olympic Legacy

Our building is located in Viale Eusebio Giambone 87/34, in the heart of the former Olympic Village—a neighborhood redeveloped after hosting the Turin 2006 Winter Games. The facility itself was originally used to accommodate accredited journalists during the Olympics and was repurposed into a modern hostel to support a growing wave of post-Olympic tourism.

This strategic move was supported by the Municipality of Turin, who identified the area’s excellent logistical potential, thanks to:

  • The Torino Lingotto railway station just 400 meters away
  • Larger, well-divided spaces ideal for group and student accommodation
  • Proximity to major educational and cultural institutions

🏙️ A Revitalized District

Today, the surrounding area includes:

  • The regional headquarters of CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee), now located at Via Giordano Bruno
  • A newly opened university college
  • Easy pedestrian access to the Lingotto Shopping Center, housed in the historic FIAT complex with its famous rooftop test track, now a national monument
  • A short distance to the Turin Exhibition Center (Torino Esposizioni), known for events like the International Book Fair
  • Direct links to venues like Pala Alpitour, the Municipal Stadium, Stupinigi Castle, and the Allianz Stadium

🛏️ A Hostel for the New Generation

Since its opening, Ostello Torino has embraced the changing needs of guests:

  • Double and family rooms, many with private bathrooms
  • Shared rooms designed for 4 to 6 guests—a shift from the large dorms of the past
  • A breakfast area, and optional half or full board services for groups

We aim to combine the practicality of a modern hostel with the comfort and hospitality of a traditional stay.

đź“– Looking Forward

Ostello Torino stands as a symbol of Turin’s evolution—from Olympic city to international destination. Our hostel was born in a time of transformation and continues to grow with its guests: students, travelers, and cultural explorers alike.

We’re proud of our role in this dynamic community—and excited to welcome you into it.
